Yaya Toure, now BBC African Footballer of the year...



The Ivory Coast and Manchester City midfielder, Yaya Toure wins BBC African footballer of the year which was announced yesterday December 2, 2013 on BBC World News...
Other nominess are Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, John Mikel Obi and Jonathan Pitroipa, Victor Moses.

The 30 year old, Yaya Toure had been nominated in each of the past five years and finally hit the target.

The former Bacelona man told BBC sports:
"It's a fantastic achievement because I don't think there has ever been as many quality African players in top-level international football as there are now: Aubameyang, Pitroipa, Mikel, Moses, Salomon Kalou, Gervinho... we have fantastic players.
 I also think African football is improving and that means a lot to us. And as an African, I'm very happy."

The Black Stars of Ghana loaded Pharoahs of Egypt 6-1..

The black Stars of Ghana sent huge message to the world. Indeed their are ready for the big cup ahead. The Black Stars of Ghana played out a classic match, beaten Egypt 6-1 in their FIFA World Cup play-off encounter at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi yesterday at 16:00.

6th minute: Asamoah Gyan opens the scoring for Ghana
24th minute: M. Essien who was not known as a dribbler, managed to use Egyptian defenders and then Wael Gomaa, the central defender who was under pressure scores an own goal to take Ghana 2-0 up.
39th minute: Egyptian defender Mohammed Aboutreka pulled one back for the Egyptians in the..after his goal, there was smoke all over and it started from the Egyptians fans...
43rd minute: Abdul M. Waris headed in from a freekick.
53rd minute: Asamoah Gyan grabs a fourth goal for Ghana with a beautiful header
71st minute: Sulley Muntari scores a penalty for Ghana after Waris was brought down by the Egyptian goalkeeper.
88th minute:  Substitute Chrisian Atsu scores with a strong shot.

Eto'o joins Chelsea...


The four-time African Footballer of the Year, Samuel Eto'o signed for Chelsea on Thursday on a one-year deal worth £7million.
The 32-year-old will be  unveiled on Friday,officially.
The two-times Champions League winner who earned the equivalent of £300,000-a-week at Anzhi, will pick up around £4m at Stamford Bridge

Confederation cup-Award winners.

Without a doubt the Brazilian striker Neymar has been awarded the Golden Ball trophy for the best player in the FIFA Confederations Cup.

Spain midfielder Andres Iniesta was named runner-up and Brazil's Paulinho third after the host nation's 3-0 victory over Spain in the final.


The Golden Boot award went to Fernando Torres with five goals, including four in Spain's 10-0 victory over Tahiti.

Brazil goalkeeper Julio Cesar won the Golden Glove, having conceded just three goals from five matches.

Neymar becomes the fourth Brazilian to win the award after Denilson (1997), Ronaldinho (1999) and Kaka (2009).

Asamoah Gyan and Sulley Muntari robbed in Maseru hotel while playing against Lesotho...




On Sunday 16th of June, 2013...the Black Stars of Ghana  playing with the Crocodiles of Lesotho at the Setsoto Stadium. It was 2-0 win over Lesotho in a 2014 World Cup qualifier.

While the stars were raising the flag of Ghana high, the thieves were only doing their "operation" in the Maseru Sun Hotel.
They were able to stole $10,000, laptop and an expensive designer bag. belonging to Ghana's captain Asamoah Gyan and also Sulley Muntari's expensive bracelet and jewelry which he had bought for wife as well as his jacket costing over 35,000 Euros.

The Ghana Football Association reported the case to the Lesotho police who have begun investigations.

Well, these two are the highest earning players in the squard currently. Asamoah Gyan playing in the oil rich UAE and Sulley Muntari for AC Milan, Italy.

This win taking the Stars on top of the group D table.
